Hellenistic or Roman Near East. Cast lead mina weight
with pierced handle (6.5-4.5 cm, over 300g). Uncertain worn design (two facing heads?) above two horizontal lines; below lines, AΓΘ / Uncertain worn design (two facing heads?) above two horizontal lines; below lines, ΔH. Hendin -; Pondera -. An apparently unpublished variety of large scale weight. The meaning of AΓΘ on the obverse is unclear, but the ΔH on the reverse perhaps refer to the authority of the demos, or people of the city in which the weight was cast and used.
